Millipedes Information Report

What is long, wiggly and has lots of legs?

Soil millipedes are harmless and you will find lots of these living life in the Frankley School bush.  But if you find a millipede in the bush take care because they can bite and infect you with chemicals if you’re not careful.

Lifecycle

Millipedes can live from 7 to 10 years old and females can lay 20 to 30 eggs at a time.  Millipedes sometimes come indoors when the weather gets cold. They can’t live in dry areas, though, and they usually die within a few days.

Habitat

Millipedes sometimes come inside when it gets cold but they can’t live in a dry area.  Millipedes and centipedes live in the soil and are camouflaged in the soil so predators don't kill them or come and eat them.

Predators

Millipedes are prey to ground beetles, ants, and spiders.  In their natural habitat, most millipedes are scavengers.  They eat damp or decaying wood and particles. (A little portion of leaf matter.)  They also eat decaying leaves and other plants materials.  If their habitat starts to dry out they will attack living plants.

Remember don't be scared they're not scary.

Relay 4 life

on Saturday I went to the relay of life.

Our family raised $1170 for the cancer society.

I did about 40 laps.

We were in team firth where tony works.

One of his work mates brounght her dog brei.

She kept on licking me over and over again.

On one of the lap's we stopped twice 1st time was to play some games 4 more FM and Russell we played stack the knots,Jenga and connect 4.

Then the 2nd stop was when I saw this really cute dog called Mojo and if u held a chip up and your other hand that didn't have the chip and say hi-five he would give u a hi-five then u could give Mojo the chip.

At the relay of life at 8:00 there was a walk that was silent around the lap and in the garden of remembrance to remember all the people who have died and then we watched a clip to remember all the people who died is well.

Then it finished at 9:00 and then we went home had a shower then went to bed and played on our iPad then went to sleep.
